After their seventh-inning rally came up short in the first game of Wednesday’s doubleheader in Philadelphia, the Yankees made sure to finish the job in the finale of the seven-inning twinbill.

Mike Tauchman’s double drove in Giancarlo Stanton with the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh, as the Yankees won the second game at Citizens Bank Park, 3-1.

The Yankees reached base five straight times against Tommy Hunter in the seventh after being mostly overpowered by Aaron Nola. Gio Urshela added an RBI single to give the Yankees a two-run lead and Zack Britton closed it out in the ninth.

The win came after J.A. Happ blew an early three-run lead in the opener in his second straight dud to open the season in an 11-7 loss, which snapped the Yankees’ seven-game winning streak.

Serving as the home team in the opener in a makeup game for Tuesday’s that was postponed in The Bronx due to Tropical Storm Isaias, the Yankees trailed by eight runs going into the bottom of the seventh, but scored four runs — with the help of a three-run homer from Aaron Judge — before Mike Ford struck out on a questionable call by home plate umpire Angel Hernandez and Miguel Andujar flied out to end the game with two runners on.

Happ’s disappointing start — he walked six in just three innings — would have looked worse if the Yankees hadn’t pulled out the second game.

“I’ve got to make them put the ball in play,’’ Happ said. “I’ve got to force the issue better than I did today.”

In the second game, Jonathan Loaisiga started and allowed one run over 2 ¹/₃ innings. Aaron Boone then went to his bullpen and got a scoreless inning from Luis Avilan followed by another masterful 2 ¹/₃-inning performance from Chad Green. Britton then came on to pick up his fifth save in as many chances filling in for Aroldis Chapman, who is out after battling COVID-19.
