An apparent murder confession by former WWE star Marty Jannetty is prompting cops in Georgia to launch an investigation, according to a report.

The former intercontinental and tag team champ who rose to stardom as part of “The Rockers” duo with Shawn Michaels in the late 1980s and early 90s said he “made a man disappear” in a since-deleted Facebook post early Wednesday, TMZ reports.

“I was 13, working at Victory Lanes bowling alley buying weed from a f-g that worked there .. and he put his hands on me,” Jannetty wrote. “He dragged me around to the back of the building .. you already know what he was gonna try do do.”

The man who allegedly assaulted Jannetty, 60, was “never found,” he said.

“That was the very first time I made a man disappear,” the post continued. “They shoulda looked in the [Chattahoochee] River.”

Jannetty is a native of Columbus, Georgia, and attended Chattahoochee Valley Community College in Phenix City, Alabama, according to his Facebook profile.

The river Jannetty mentioned in his post, which forms the southern half of the Alabama-Georgia border, runs through Columbus, where cops have since launched an investigation into his purported confession, TMZ reports.

“The first step will be seeing if we have any missing persons or unidentified remains cases that match the limited information in the post,” a Columbus police spokesman told the outlet.

Several other “current active homicide investigations” will take precedence, however, department officials said. The alleged incident would have taken place around 1973.

Messages seeking additional comment from Columbus police and Jannetty early Thursday were not immediately returned.

Jannetty’s post is the latest concerning public admission by the former wrestling star. In June 2019, the admitted sex addict said he was in the midst of a 60-day drug and sex bender following WrestleMania 35 in New Jersey.
