#World Trigger 3rd Season Gets Key Visual

The upcoming third season of World Trigger has received a key visual. The anime is set to premiere on October 9 in Japan.

The staff includes World Trigger 2nd Season‘s Morio Hatano as series director, Hiroyuki Yoshino as series composer, Toshihisa Kaiya as character designer and chief animation director, Rumiko Nagai as color designer, and Kenji Kawai as music composer. Toei Animation is the animation production company.

Meanwhile, the returning cast includes Tomo Muranaka as Yūma Kuga, Yūki Kaji as Osamu Mikumo, Nao Tamura as Chika Amatori, Yūichi Nakamura as Yūichi Jin, and Nobunaga Shimazaki as Hyuse.

World Trigger is based on the ongoing manga by Daisuke Ashihara, which has 23 tankōbon volumes as of February 2021.

One day, a gate to another world opened in Mikado City. Invaders from another dimension, referred to thereafter as Neighbors, overran the area around the gate, leaving the city gripped by fear. However, a mysterious group suddenly appeared and repelled the Neighbors. This Border Defense Agency independently researches Neighbor technology and fights to protect this world. In a short time, they managed to build an enormous base and prepare a defensive system against the Neighbors. it’s been four years since then.
