#Woman on date ‘stunned’ when stranger passes note: ‘Run!’

He attempted to literally save the date.

A woman on a date was taken aback after a good Samaritan passed her a note telling her to “run” from her perspective beau because of “too many red flags.” A tweet recounting the stranger’s kind — albeit bizarre — warning amassed thousands of likes before the gal locked her account, the Daily Mail reported.

Per the now-hidden tweet posted over the weekend by Virginia Twitter user Hadia S, the date started innocently enough having coffee with a guy.

However, when her date got up to go the bathroom, “the gay guy” sitting behind her passed her a note scribbled on the back of a CVS receipt, the bemused gal recounted.

An accompanying photo shows the message, which cautioned: “Too many red flags. Run. Be safe girl.”

The “Shutter Island”-esque incident has made waves on Twitter with many users imploring Hadia to divulge more details of the date, specifically with regard to the “red flags” in question.

Hadia has since obliged in a series of follow-up tweets. One of the warning signs, she recounted, was that the two didn’t see “eye-to-eye” on the recent scandal involving rapper Da Baby, who sparked outrage earlier this month over homophobic remarks — although she didn’t specify which side she took on the issue. Another involved the mystery man’s alleged support of Kevin Samuels, a YouTube dating guru who reportedly urged his male followers to make misogynistic and event violent comments toward women. 

However, despite recognizing the “red flags” early on, Hadia said she ultimately decided against aborting the date as she wanted to debate Mr. Wrong on the issues they disagreed on.

She recognized that her inaction likely didn’t sit well with her note-passing protector, joking in a subsequent tweet, “I’m sure my guardian angel was exhausted and was like “B***H, LEAVE!”

Nonetheless, Hadia insists that the words of warning were “greatly appreciated and added some laughs to my night,” adding that “there won’t be a second date.”

Suffice it to say, the impromptu dating advice split social media with many seconding the Samaritan’s message.

“RUN PLEASE he’s probably in a group chat rating you in a scale of 1-10,” one ride-or-die supporter wrote. “Kevin Samuel[s] fan is 100% a red flag.”

However, others thought Hadia was unfairly condemning her date for having different opinions.

“So because he had his own opinion on people/subjects which didn’t directly align … or better yet, comply, with yours, his personality strikes you as toxic?” wrote one skeptic.

This isn’t the first time a Samaritan has used a well-timed note to warn women of a potential wackadoo in their midst. In June, a vigilant Florida bartender saved two women from being hit on by a creepy customer by passing them a note disguised as a receipt.
