#Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Season 2 Release Date Set for July 2021

The official Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid twitter account announced that season two of the anime series, titled Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S, will be released in July of 2021. The tweet also included a new key visual featuring a new character, Iruru.  The series is Kyoto Animation’s first anime show since 2018’s Tsurune.

The anime’s website homepage has been changed to include the new key visual. It has also been updated to include introductory information about the second season.

The first season of Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid was directed by the late Yasuhiro Takemoto (Hyouka, Amagi Brilliant Park). Other staff included Yuka Yamada (Koisuru Asteroid) as series composer, the late Mikiko Watanabe (Violet Evergarden, Myriad Colors Phantom World) as art director, Miku Kadowaki (Tsurune) as character designer, and Ura Akihiro (Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions! the Movie: Take on Me) as photography director.

Crunchyroll describes the series as: 

Miss Kobayashi is your average office worker who lives a boring life, alone in her small apartment–until she saves the life of a female dragon in distress. The dragon, named Tohru, has the ability to magically transform into an adorable human girl (albeit with horns and a long tail!), who will do anything to pay off her debt of gratitude, whether Miss Kobayashi likes it or not. With a very persistent and amorous dragon as a roommate, nothing comes easy, and Miss Kobayashi’s normal life is about to go off the deep end!
