Based on the third season of the Wondery podcast of the same name, “Dr. Death” season 2 will focus on Paolo Macchiarini, a renowned and innovative surgeon who earns the nickname “Miracle Man.” However, everything changes when an investigative journalist named Benita Alexander tries to interview him for a story, and the lines are blurred between a professional and personal relationship. The deeper Alexander falls into the web of Macchiarini’s lies, the more harrowing details she uncovers about his life and well-kept secrets. Suddenly, these so-called “miracles” start to look a bit like dangerous omens.
