Ciara Wilson recently traveled to Miami, Florida’s Everglades Correctional Institution with her husband to sing with the group, God Behind Bars. They also delivered a sermon to 300 inmates in the prison chapel.
The Denver Broncos quarterback handed the microphone to Ciara, who led the congregation in song before reading a Bible verse aloud.
This comes on the heels of Ciara Wilson being criticized for her dressing choice at the 2023 Oscars afterparty for wearing a sheer netted dress by Dundas and pairing it with a tiny black thong.

An Instagram video shows that the couple joined forces with God Behind Bars to visit Florida’s Everglades Correctional Institution to hold an event for the men in prison. The caption of the video talked about how 27 men got together in the chapel and pledged themselves to Jesus Christ.
It further talked about how the prison began to “erupt in praise and worship” after Russell started off with verse Isaiah 43:19. Following Ciara Wilson’s rendition of Way Maker, the congregation stood with their arms around each other and started their life with Jesus Christ.
Before singing, Ciara, 37 years old, spoke to the inmates on unconditional love and forgiveness and sang a contemporary worship song Way Maker, by the Nigerian gospel singer, Sinach.
“You know what’s so beautiful about God’s love? It’s relentless. He don’t let off. He don’t let off,” the Grammy winner stated. “And you know what I love about God and what he said in his promise? There’s no condemnation in Christ Jesus. So, if you ask for forgiveness, he will forgive you. My heart is filled with joy”, she continued.
Ciara had already made headlines for her controversial outfit choice at the Vanity Fair Oscars party. The singer wore one of her most daring outfits to the party with husband Russell Wilson on March 12.
She arrived at the party in a completely see-through black netted halter gown with sparkling rhinestones. The glitzy open-back number was especially risqué, as it left little to the imagination— just a thong beneath the otherwise revealing fabric throughout.
However, it’s wonderful to see Wilson continuing to give back to the community, and it’s clear that this trip had a significant impact on him and his wife. The inmates there were delighted to see them. Wilson has always made an effort to help the less fortunate people.
