#White Teaser Trailer Previews the Forgers’ Debut Theatrical Adventure

TOHO has released a 30-second trailer for the upcoming Spy x Family Code: White anime movie, which is premiering in Japan on December 22.

The movie is arriving after the premiere of the series’ second season in October. It will feature an original story from scriptwriter Ichirou Ookouchi (Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch of Mercury) series composer.

The Wit Studio and Cloverworks co-production is inspired by the Shueisha-published action-comedy manga by Tatsuya Endou (who is serving as supervisor for the movie). The first season of the anime aired with two split cours, with the first cour debuting on April 9 while the second premiered in October 2022. The second cour was streamed by Crunchyroll, Bilibili, and Muse Asia outside of Japan.

Viz Media describes the manga as:

Not one to depend on others, Twilight has his work cut out for him procuring both a wife and a child for his mission to infiltrate an elite private school. What he doesn’t know is that the wife he’s chosen is an assassin and the child he’s adopted is a telepath!

Spy x Family CODE: White  Spy x Family Season 1 co-assistant director Takashi Katagiri is taking on the role of director for the movie, with the series’ director Kazuhiro Furuhashi adopting an animation supervisor role. The movie also features Kana Ishida (The Irregular at Magic High School: Reminiscence Arc character designer) as sub-character designer alongside main character designer Kazuaki Shimada

The main cast of the anime includes Takuya Eguchi as Loid Forger, Saori Hayami as Yor Forger, and Atsumi Tanezaki as Anya Forger. 

The Spy x Family manga began in 2019 and has 11 tankoubon volumes as of April 2023. It is serialized on Shonen Jump+ and published under the Jump Comics+ label.
