#White Movie Coming to Southeast Asia Starting February

Film distributor Encore Films recently revealed the Southeast Asian screening dates for the Spy x Family Code: White anime movie.

The film will arrive in Singapore first, on February 8. Next in line are:

Indonesia: February 7
Vietnam: February 10
Malaysia: February 22
Brunei: February 22
The Philippines: March 13

Spy x Family Code: White began screening in Japan on December 22, 2023 and has made over 4.85 billion yen (~US$32.8 million) as of January 15. Encore Films describes the plot, which had supervision from Spy x Family creator Tatsuya Endou, as:

He’s a spy. She’s an assassin. Together, Loid and Yor keep their double lives to themselves while pretending to be the perfect family. However, their adopted daughter Anya, a telepath, knows both of their exciting secrets unbeknownst to them. While under the guise of taking his family on a weekend winter getaway, Loid’s attempt to make progress on his current mission Operation Strix proves difficult when Anya mistakenly gets involved and triggers events that threaten world peace!

The Spy x Family manga began serialization on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ in 2019 and has 12 tankoubon volumes as of October 2023. The TV anime’s first season premiered in April 2022 and ran for two split cours. The second season premiered in October 2023. 

Viz Media describes the manga as:

Not one to depend on others, Twilight has his work cut out for him procuring both a wife and a child for his mission to infiltrate an elite private school. What he doesn’t know is that the wife he’s chosen is an assassin and the child he’s adopted is a telepath!
