Chicago, IL – Lil Durk came back to Chicago for a special night wrapping up his 7220 Tour at the United Center — a venue that once upon a time didn’t allow him to perform there.

Ahead of Monday’s (May 2) show, Durkio launched an HBCU college program through his Neighborhood Heroes Foundation, where he will introduce students to different kinds of career paths.

Smurk invited 20 students from the South Side to join him in a luxury suite at the Chicago White Sox and see him throw out the game’s ceremonial first pitch. The White Sox ended up taking home a much-needed 3-0 victory over the Angels with Durk serving as the good luck charm.

That energy traveled with Lil Durk to his sold-out show at United Center, which served as a victorious homecoming for the Chicago native. The dynamic performance went off without a hitch and he even brought out several special guests including G Herbo, Katie Got Bandz, Calboy, and more.

Lil Durk has seen his star blossom into a mainstream powerhouse over the course of the last two years. He even notched the most entries on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2021.

As for his latest moves on the music side, he joined Future for “AFFILIATED,” which landed on Pluto’s I NEVER LIKED YOU deluxe edition earlier this week.
