“#’What We Do in the Shadows’: Revisit Season 2’s Funniest Moments”

FX
FX’s kooky comedy What We Do in the Shadows continued to deliver laughs in Season 2 by turning mundane everyday situations into hilarious ordeals for a quartet of Staten Island-based vampire roommates.
In just 30 minutes, Nandor (Kayvan Novak), Nadja (Natasia Demetriou), Laszlo (Matt Berry), Colin (Mark Proksch) and familiar Guillermo (Harvey Guillen) deliver silly curveballs left and right each week. While the show’s over until Season 3, we can’t help but look back on some of Shadows‘ best moments from its most recent run.
Inspired by the 2014 film from Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement, the series promises that viewers are taken on a new adventure each episode. Among some of Season 2’s highlights were the vampires’ experience at a neighborhood Super Bowl party and a brush with junk e-mails.
Below, relive some of those moments as we take a stroll down memory lane.

The Vampires Get Made?
Invited to their neighbor’s home for a Super Bowl party, Nadja, Laszlo, Nandor and Colin go into the evening with very different expectations. One quick exchange though is sure to elicit giggles when neighbor Shaun (Anthony Atamanuik) jokingly questions if they’re vampires because he never sees them in the daytime. Taking the comment quite literally, Nandor and Laszlo begin plotting their silencing plan which quickly goes awry.

Guillermo the Killer
When the show opened for the season, it was revealed that Guillermo had been killing assassins who were sent to take out the Staten Island clan for their believed involvement in Baron Afanas’ (Doug Jones) murder. Guillermo’s natural talent and skills were quite hilarious as he made use of nearby tools to eliminate the threats.

FX
Jackie Daytona
When an old acquaintance threatened Laszlo’s peace, he got the hell out of dodge and fled for Pennsylvania where he took up the alias Jackie Daytona. As Jackie, Laszlo ran a local bar, supported an underdog volleyball team and donned blue jeans. The transformative disguise offered viewers a new look at the snobby and raunchy Laszlo in the best way possible.

FX
Power Hungry Colin
Colin is already in a category of his own considering his classification as an energy vampire. The day walker took a dark turn though when he was promoted at his office. Already a serial energy zapper, Colin’s power grew so strong that the bald vamp sprouted a thick head of hair and began to fly around. As his insatiable appetite grew, so did viewers’ belly laughs.

Mailer-Daemon
When Nandor asks Guillermo to open up his email account for the first time in years, he discovers a spamming of messages from mailer-daemon. The spam includes a chain-mail message promising a curse upon anyone who reads it if they don’t forward to 10 other people. Needless to say, Nandor, Laszlo and Nadja’s horror over this development is hysterical.

FX
Trolling for Energy
In another hilarious sequence for Colin, he trolls unsuspecting strangers on the internet for energy by commenting ridiculous things on people’s social media statuses. If trolling online was a sport, Colin would be winning gold medals.
