The first week will be a parade of famous faces, with guests including Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu for a “Charlie’s Angels” reunion, as well as Adam Sandler, Reese Witherspoon, and Gabrielle Union, and Jane Fonda.
“Star Trek: Discovery,” Sept. 24 at 10 p.m., CBS
“Star Trek: Discovery” typically airs on CBS All Access to a limited audience of paying subscribers. However, this fall, the 1960s-era drama — which takes place roughly a decade before the original “Star Trek” — will be available on regular CBS. “LA’s Finest,” Sept. 21 at 8 p.m., Fox
This 2019 cop drama, starring Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba as new partners, originally appeared on the Spectrum app. (The cable provider also makes its own shows.) Now, thanks to a deal with Fox, more viewers will be able to check out this entertaining spinoff of the “Bad Boys” movie franchise.
“Connecting . . .,” Oct. 1 at 8:30 pm, NBC
The latest in a new genre of shows created and set in the quarantine era, “Connecting. . .” is an ensemble comedy following a group of friends trying to stay in touch — and keep their sanity during lockdown — via video chats, from “Blindspot” creator Martin Gero.
“The Walking Dead: World Beyond,” Oct. 4 at 10 p.m., AMC

This limited series spinoff of “The Walking Dead” is set in Nebraska 10 years after the apocalypse. Its plot follows the very first generation to come of age in the zombie-filled world that has become familiar to fans of “The Walking Dead” franchise.
“Soulmates,” Oct. 5 at 10 p.m., AMC
Starring Malin Akerman (“Billions”) and Charlie Heaton (“Stranger Things”), this futuristic sci-fi anthology is perfect for viewers who love mind-bending shows, such as “Black Mirror.” “Soulmates” is set 15 years in the future, where science has made it possible to identify your perfect match. Each episode follows new characters exploring — or ignoring — the results of this test, and the impact it has on their lives.
“NeXt,” Oct. 6 at 9 p.m., Fox
Starring John Slattery (“Mad Men”), this new thriller is ideal for fans of “Westworld” and “Mr. Robot.” It follows a cybersecurity team hunting down a rogue piece of artificial intelligence that has the ability to improve itself.
“Devils,” Oct. 8 at 8 p.m., The CW
This international thriller — which originally aired on Sky Atlantic in Italy — stars Patrick Dempsey. He plays Dominic Morgan, the American CEO of a London-based bank who sets off a startling chain of events when he denies his pseudo-son Massimo Ruggero (Alessandro Borghi) a promotion, which then reveals a global financial conspiracy.
“Big Sky,” Date TBD, Tuesdays at 10 p.m., ABC
Starring Ryan Phillippe and and Katheryn Winnick (“Vikings”) and based on C.J. Box’s 2013 novel “The Highway,” this new procedural drama follows a private detective in Montana searching for two missing sisters and trying to stop a killer from striking again. An premiere date has not been announced, but it will air Tuesdays at 10 p.m. in the fall.
