The publisher FilmConfect Anime has announced an official update on the «To Love Ru» -OVAs!

For some time now, FilmConfect had been planning anime with a disc release of various OVA episodes for the anime “To Love Ru”. Having already made about possible Difficulties in the licensing process the issue was, the publisher now gave per Twitter on official statement from:

Hello everyone! Many have already asked themselves whether we will now also release the To Love Ru’s OVAs. Unfortunately we have to inform you that we can’t get our hands on the licenses, even after trying for a long time.

We are very sorry.

In a further answer FilmConfect also stated that the License not granted outside of Japan.

So far, with the exception of the OVAs, all anime seasons for “To Love Ru” have been released on disc in Germany. These were created in the studio Xebec directed by Atsushi Ōtsuki. Two manga series by Kentarō Yabuki and Saki Hasemi served as a template.

When Lala’s bodyguard Zastin is sent to bring the princess back to Deviluke, a fight ensues between him and Rito. Impressed by Rito, he reports to the emperor that he is a suitable husband for Lala. And so the ruler of the distant planet decides that Rito should marry his daughter. Should the wedding break, he wants to kill Rito and destroy the earth …
