Welcome to the Outcast’s Restaurant! Releases New Trailer and Updated Visual With Chika Anzai’s Katie

A second main trailer and an updated main visual have been released for the upcoming Welcome to the Outcast’s Restaurant! TV anime.

A new presence in both is Katie, the red-haired second-in-command of the mighty Silverwing Battalion that protagonist Dennis used to be part of. Chika Anzai is voicing the character.

Aside from Anzai, another new cast announcement was Ryota Suzuki as Vigo, the Silverwing Battalion’s leader.

Additionally, it was announced that the ending song for Welcome to the Outcast’s Restaurant! is “Magokoro My Heart” by Cho Tokimeki♡Sendenbu, which is featured in the new trailer.

Welcome to the Outcast’s Restaurant! will premiere on July 3 JST (effectively July 4 at 12 AM JST). The anime is based on the OVERLAP Novels light novel series written by by Yuki Kimikawa and illustrated by Gaou. Kaiten Books describes the manga adaptation, drawn by Tsumumi, as:

Dennis is one of the most popular members of the Silverwing Battalion, the world’s strongest party. So popular, in fact, that the party leader expels him from the group out of spite.

Stripped of his home, Dennis decides to start life anew following his true calling—as a chef! His life as an adventurer might be over, but his new life as a cook is just beginning. He teams up with Atelier, a young girl who has been similarly exiled from her home, and opens up a restaurant for adventurers.

He’s finally able to live out his dream, but he’ll need use of more than just his cooking skills to take care of his eclectic customers’ problems!

The Welcome to the Outcast’s Restaurant! light novel series started publication in 2019 and has three volumes as of June 2020. The story began as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2018.
