#Watch the National’s Matt Berninger Perform for “Team Joe Sings”

Another group of musicians showed support for Presidential hopeful Joe Biden last night (September 24) by performing on the “Team Joe Sings” livestream. Featured artists include the National’s Matt Berninger, Chloe x Halle, Andrew Bird, and more.

Berninger was joined by Sean O’Brien. They played “Distant Axis.” Before the song, Berninger said, “It feels like there’s a choice between bravery and kindness, or fear and meanness, and it seems like it’s a simple choice, for me. That’s why I’m voting for bravery and kindness, which Joe Biden and Kamala Harris seem to show a lot of both of those things.” Watch below.

Numerous artists have shown their support for Biden in recent months, including David Crosby, Sheryl Crow, Rufus Wainwright, Willie Nelson, Diplo, Cardi B, Billie Eilish, Hudson Mohawke, and many more.

“Distant Axis” is taken from Matt Berninger’s forthcoming solo debut Serpentine Prison—out October 2. Earlier this year, he shared the video for “One More Second.” Find that below, too.
