Smino was the musical guest on Monday’s The Tonight Show and he brought two songs from latest album Luv 4 Rent to Jimmy Fallon’s stage. “Lee & Lovie” showcased the soulful side of the record, with Smino going method and sneezing on the beat. “Blu Billy,” meanwhile, brought an injection of energy as Smino showcased his impressive flow and technical abilities. Love 4 Rent was released last month and includes the J. Cole collaboration “90 Proof,” plus appearances from Lil Uzi Vert, Doechii, and Lucky Daye. Next year he will join forces with JID for a joint tour, dubbed the “Luv is 4Ever” tour. Their 32-date run is set to kick off on January 22 at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre, stopping in 21 states and three Canadian provinces before the dust settles on March 29 at Marathon Music Works in Nashville.
