#Watch Maren Morris and John Mayer Perform “The Bones” at 2021 Grammys

Maren Morris performed “The Bones” tonight (March 14) at the 2021 Grammy Awards. She was joined by John Mayer, who played guitar and sang backup. Watch that happen below.

“The Bones,” from Morris’ 2019 album Girl, was nominated for Best Country Song, competing against songs recorded by Miranda Lambert’s (“Bluebird”), Old Dominion (“Some People Do’”), the Highwomen (“Crowded Table”), and Ingrid Andress (“More Hearts Than Mine”). The Best Country Song category is classified as a songwriters’ award; though Morris is a member of the Highwomen, she’s not credited as a co-writer on “Crowded Table.” Mayer was not nominated for a Grammy Award this year.
