#Watch Juvenile “Back That Azz Up” in his new Tiny Desk Concert

NPR invited the Louisiana rapper to perform after he admitted he didn’t know what a Tiny Desk was.

New Orleans rapper Juvenile is NPR’s newest guest to grace the coveted Tiny Desk. Back in April, a fan tweeted at the radio station to get Juvie on stage, to which he replied: “Wtf is a tiny desk 😂and no 😂😂.” After seeing the response from fans, he said he’d reconsider if his post got 10,000 retweets.

Behind the scenes, NPR revealed the post led to DMs and phone calls, which ultimately set up one of the most entertaining Tiny Desk Concerts to date.

Juvenile brought out a slew of Louisiana musicians to help — most prominently frequent collaborator Mannie Fresh — to perform ten of his most-loved songs, including “400 Degreez,” “Set It Off,” “Slow Motion,” and “I Need A Hot Girl.” He ends the set with his 1999 hit, “Back That Azz Up,” to which the crowd yelled for an encore. “We gotta give them what they want, dawg!,” he yelled before starting the song fore a second time.
