“Pusha T Says Fatherhood Changed His Perspective On Drake Beef”

“You know what it is? I don’t like the energy of mentioning my son in that type of energy — or any kid in that type of energy,” he says referencing his first-born son, Nigel. “ It’s not my thing right now. I got my son! And it’s like, with me, I’m just not going to play about anything involving him. Like, I don’t play nothing. So it’s like, ‘You know what? I’ll just [leave it alone].’”
The irony of this turnaround is significant considering Pusha T was the one who threw gasoline on their beef when her alleged that Drake was hiding a child on 2018’s “The Story of Adidon.” However, Pusha T and his wife had their first son, Nigel Brixton, in June of 2020 and it seemingly gave Push a different perspective on the verbal jousting.
“It’s selflessness,” he added. “And I’m very selfish, I’m a super selfish person; with my son, I have totally taken myself [out of it]. It’s all him first.”
Fans are anxiously awaiting the release of It’s Almost Dry, Pusha T’s fourth studio album. The Bronx rapper also recently announced upcoming tour dates via Twitter. You can watch Pusha-T’s interview on Desus & Mero below.
