Rashad’s album The House Is Burning is out now.
One of the best surprises on Isaiah Rashad’s very good album The House Is Burning was the Lil Uzi Vert feature on “From The Garden.” Hearing Uzi go in over a beat constructed around a classic soul sample was a treat, and Rashad had no problem shifting from lyrically dense to hooky and back again. The music video is also well worth your time, as is usually the case with visuals from Rashad’s label Top Dawg Records. Think of the most chaotic club district you’ve ever walked through on a Friday night, multiply it by ten, and imagine you’re trapped there for an eternity, and you get the vibe.
