#VTuber Amatsuka Uto Announces Indefinite Hiatus

Independent VTuber Amatsuka Uto announced April 6 that she will be suspending her streaming and social media activities as of April 30.

Her English announcement lists her suspension date as both April 25 and 30, however the Japanese announcement mentions April 30 exclusively.

Uto has not listed any reason for the suspension of her activities, only that she will keep her archives private to “avoid speculation and misunderstanding.” Additionally she has requested stream clipping and reproduction of her content be prohibited.

Uto continued to express her gratitude to fans that have supported her, stating it was a happy time for her and that she hopes she will remain “in everyone’s hearts until we meet again.”

At the time of this announcement, Uto has over 600,000 subscribers on YouTube and 68,000 followers on Twitch. Her 3D Debut Stream has 333K views. She made her VTuber debut on December 15, 2020, and reached 200K subscribers on December 25.

Uto is best known for her song Covers, such as Angel With A Shotgun and Goodbye Declaration, as well as her popular English study streams.
