On June 30, Nippon Ichi Software will release void* tRrLM2(); //Void Terrarium 2 for PlayStation 4 and Switch in Japan.

The original game void tRrLM(); //Void Terrarium, which released for PlayStation 4 and Switch on June 23, 2020 in Japan, is a dungeon RPG set in a contaminated world, centered around the last surviving human girl Toriko and a janitorial robot.

The game’s fantastic, decadent, and beautiful world, and its gameplay centered around taking care of the girl was well received, and on February 18, 2021, a PlayStation 5 version was released including additional downloadable content such as outfit changes.

The sequel void* tRrLM2(); //Void Terrarium will further build upon those well received elements, and make taking care of Toriko even more enjoyable.

■ Story

A world hundreds of years after humanity fell to a toxic fungi.

In an abandoned building, a robot meets a lone girl named Toriko. With the help factoryAI, who he encounters after, the robot creates a “terrarium” environment for the girl to live in, and takes care of her.

Taking care of Toriko is not easy, and various difficulties befall the robot. Strange illnesses caused by toxic fungi; the appearance of an entity that plans to restore humanity using Toriko; the destruction of factoryAI…

After overcoming every obstacle, the robot returned to his everyday life of taking care of Toriko.

At that moment, Toriko began to show symptoms of her body gradually decaying. But unlike the illnesses encountered so far, there was no clear cause. Why is Toriko’s body decaying? To solve this mystery, the robot begins his investigation into Toriko and humanity’s past.

All to ensure Toriko’s survival.

Toriko

A lone young girl who somehow survives in a world where civilization has collapsed. Unable to survive in a world contaminated by toxic fungi, she lives in a “terrarium” under the care of a robot. The robot rescues her from being used as a seedbed for a plan to restore humanity.

Robot

A robot disposed of at a scrapyard. One day, it becomes self-aware and starts to move. Upon finding Toriko covered in mushroom, he had a sudden impulse to save her. Since then, he has been dedicated to taking care of Toriko with the help of factoryAI. It seems to be a home-use robot that was once widespread.

factoryAI

An artificial intelligence that manages a “self-propagation shelter” hastily constructed by humanity to combat the toxic fungi. It cooperates with the robot to take care of Toriko, but unlike the robot, factoryAI is unable to move, so it helps the robot through knowledge and information obtained from the database. It was destroyed upon getting wrapped up in the humanity restoration project.
