Yakunara Mug Cup Mo (known in English as Let’s Make a Mug Too), an upcoming TV anime that celebrates the charms of Tajimi-city in Gifu Prefecture, also includes a live-action segment entitled “yakumo houkago” (“after school of YAKUMO”) starring the four main voice actors touring and learning about Tajimi-city, and now a preview for this portion of the program has been released.
The preview video (below) depicts voice actors Minami Tanaka (the voice of Himeno Toyokawa), Yū Serizawa (the voice of Mika Kukuri), Yuki Wakai (the voice of Naoko Naruse), and Rina Honnizumi (the voice of Toko Aoki) learning pottery sculpting techniques and enjoying the sites and local cuisine of Tajimi-city.
Set in Tamiji-city in Gifu Prefecture, a region that is famous for its ceramics and eartherware dishes, Yakunara Mug Cup Mo follows the adventures of Himeno Toyokawa, a high school girl who decides to join the school’s ceramic art club with her friends after she discovers that her late mother was a legendary pottery artist.
Yakunara Mug Cup Mo is directed by Jun Kamiya and features animation production by Nippon Animation. The series will broadcast in Japan on CBC TV beginning on April 02, 2021, with additional broadcasts to follow later on BS11, TOKYO MX, Mainichi Broadcasting System, and AT-X.
