#Video shows man who choked himself with seat belt in custody

New body camera footage released by California cops shows officers rushing to perform CPR on a man who died after choking himself with a seat belt while in police custody last month.

In the disturbing footage, Emilio Villa Mora, of Mexico, can first be seen running from Modesto Police officers while shouting “I’m not doing nothing!” on Sept. 27.

Officers then chase down Mora — who was was suspected of trying break into a home and multiple cars — and cuffed him and on the ground as he shouts, “I can’t breathe!” video released by Modesto Police shows.

After police load him into the cop car, the footage then cuts to an officer finding Mora slumped over and unconscious in the back of the vehicle — with a seat belt wrapped around his neck.

“Get a knife! We gotta pull him out and start CPR!” the officer shouts, before performing the safety measure.

Mora was rushed to a hospital, where he died last week, according to The Modesto Bee.

Police also released 911 calls made by Mora earlier in the day, in which he claims “the cartel” is “trying to kill” him,  leading police to believe he was suffering from a mental health or drug-related episode.

Modesto Police spokesman said the department released the “difficult” footage “in effort to remain transparent.”
