“My Hero Academia Season 6’s 2nd OP Gets Anime Music Video”

Eve‘s “Bokurano,” the opening song for the second cour of My Hero Academia Season 6, has received an animated music video that features its own superpowered action and sakuga.

Waboku (“Musician” co-director) is the director, storyboarder, and character designer behind “Bokurano”‘s video. They also served as one of the colorists and animators. bozu is the main name credited for the background artwork while tyao (“Fight Song” composite director) is listed as composite director and animation producer.

The animator list includes people who contributed to My Hero Academia Season 6 like Hiroto Nishizawa, Hikari Kukimoto, Shinya Fujita, and Rina Ogawa.

My Hero Academia Season 6 premiered on October 1 last year, with the second cour beginning in January. The superhero anime is based on Kouhei Horikoshi’s Shueisha-published manga series, which began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2014 and has 37 tankoubon volumes as of February 2023.

Viz Media describes the manga as:

Middle school student Izuku Midoriya wants to be a hero more than anything, but he hasn’t got an ounce of power in him. With no chance of ever getting into the prestigious U.A. High School for budding heroes, his life is looking more and more like a dead end. Then an encounter with All Might, the greatest hero of them all, gives him a chance to change his destiny…

“Bokurano” is the latest Eve song to have an anime music video. The singer’s Chainsaw Man ending song received a similar treatment last December.

The “Bokurano” EP will be released on March 22.
