#VIDEO: Meet Anime Awards Judge (and Japanese Cosplayer!) Kaho Shibuya

Kaho Shibuya

A note on safety: The following interview undertook strict safety procedures in Japan. We strongly urge everyone to follow the recommended safety protocol in your country — not just for your sake, but everyone else’s as well.

Behind the curtains of the Anime Awards are dozens of judges watching, learning, and calculating what was the best anime from the last year to nominate for the upcoming awards show, so you all can vote on them!

I was lucky enough to get sit down in a quaint cafe in Harajuku to interview Japanese cosplayer, talent, and Anison DJ Kaho Shibuya. We last spoke to Kaho in May on how she was affected by the "lockdown" during Japan's the State of Emergency to combat the coronavirus. Today, I get an update on her thoughts on anime during COVID times, as well as discussing her past growing up surrounded by anime in Japan, what her thoughts are on anime in the future, and more! You can watch the video at this link or embedded down below!

We also got to try a frothy 3D Crunchyroll-Hime latte as well!
