“#VA Unit Luminous Witches Releases Their 3rd Single “Sora ni Chikau kara” MV”

The official website for the Luminous Witches project has posted a 90-second short music video for its nine-member voice actress unit Luminous Witches‘ forthcoming third single song “Sora ni Chikau kara” (Because I swear on the sky) to be released on June 30, 2021.

As the 10th anniversary project for the World Witches franchise, the Renmei Kuugun Koukuu Mahou Ongakutai Luminous Witches (Allied Air Force Magical Idols Luminous Witches) project was revealed in July 2018. Then, its real voice actress idol unit Luminous Witches started their activities in March 2019. Their first single “Flying Skyhigh” was released on August 26, 2020, and second single “Aozora Dive” followed on December 23, 2020.

In March 2021, the project announced that rookie voice actress Kana Konaka was newly cast as Maria Magadalene Dietrich, in place of the character’s original VA Momo Hanae, who left the unit in January 2021 due to her health issue. “Sora ni Chikau kara” is the unit’s first single with Konaka.

The TV anime Renmei Kuugun Koukuu Mahou Ongakutai Luminous Witches is set to premiere in Japan at some point in 2021.
