A new cast member has been revealed for Luminous Witches, an upcoming TV anime set in the Strike Witches universe that follows a band of witches that use music as a weapon to combat sorrow and despair.

In Luminous Witches, voice actor Mikako Komatsu plays Grace Maitland Stewart, a former combat witch who retired from active duty and formed the LNAF Aviation Magic Band Luminous Witches. As the group’s manager, she struggles to gather the budget and find members for the operation, firm in her belief that music has the power to save people.

The story of Luminous Witches focuses on the LNAF Aviation Magic Band Luminous Witches, a group of witches that – rather than fighting the Νέυροι directly – instead protect people’s smiles and inspire their hearts and minds with music and song.

Luminous Witches is directed by Shôji Saeki and Kana Harafuji and features animation production by Shaft. The series is currently scheduled to broadcast in Japan in 2022.
