UTA Hires Hip Hop Agents Zach Iser and Caroline Yim

UTA has hired prominent hip hop booking agents Caroline Yim and Zach Iser as partners at the agency, the company announced Tuesday, with the two coming over after previously serving as co-heads of hip hop and R&B at WME.
The company didn’t disclose which clients, if any, would be moving over with Yim and Iser to UTA, though their clients have included Doechii, Jhene Aiko, Future and Anderson .Paak among others. Some of UTA’s biggest artists include Bad Bunny, Lil Wayne, Christina Aguilera, Guns N’ Roses, and the Jonas Brothers.
“We’ve long admired the way Zach and Caroline discover, nurture, and build the careers of artists,” UTA president David Kramer said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to welcome them to UTA and have our clients benefit from their command of the hip-hop and R&B arena. We will continue to invest in music and remain focused on providing our artists with the absolute best pathway to thrive.”
Yim and Iser come to UTA after joining WME back in 2021. The move comes about three months after hip hop division co-heads Kevin Shivers, James Rubin and Christina Baxter left WME for Wasserman back in January. UTA had a sizable Coachella outing for Weekend One this past weekend, representing 21 acts. (Wasserman lead the coachella leaderboard overall with 32 acts, while CAA had all three headliners.)
UTA has expanded in recent years, acquiring European soccer agency ROOF last year, run through Klutch Sport. The agency recently named David Kramer CEO to succeed co-founder Jeremy Zimmer, who is set to shift to the role of executive chairman.
