“#Urusei Yatsura, Creamy Mami, and More Feature in Akemi Takada's Next Exhibition”
Artist and character designer Akemi Takada is taking her art on another trip, this time featuring her legendary magical girl Creamy Mami as the mascot!
The artist, who designed characters for Creamy Mami, Kimagure Orange Road, Urusei Yatsura, and many more memorable series, will have her work displayed at the MITSUKOSHI Ginza store later this month. Admission to the event is free, and will feature original artwork by Takada featuring the familiar characters. Visitors can also buy prints, clear files, and other merchandise featuring the art.
Akemi Takada herself will be present for one day of the exhibition — September 26 — to sign autographs. The first 100 visitors to purchase either an original numbered piece or a print will get a colored paper sketch by Ms. Takada.
The exhibition runs from September 23-28.
