#Upcoming RPG Decapolice Will Have a TV Anime

A TV anime inspired by LEVEL5‘s upcoming “Crime suspense RPG” Decapolice is currently in the works. The news was announced during the LEVEL5 VISION 2024 TO THE WORLD’S CHILDREN livestream, where it was also revealed that the plan is to release the anime at the same time as the game.

That release will happen sometime in 2026, thanks to a fresh delay to Decapolice. (Previously, in November 2023, it was announced that Decapolice had been pushed back to 2024.) LEVEL5 CEO Akihiro Hino, who was the presenter of the livestream, said that the delay was a result of improvements to the “visuals and content” of the open-world title.

In the meantime, LEVEL5 has released a theme song trailer with work-in-progress footage. The song, “City of Love,” is sung by GARNiDELiA’s MARiA.

Decapolice will be available on Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, and Steam. My Nintendo Store describes the game as:

The main character, a rookie detective named Harvard, hunts down criminals in a huge open-world crime-ridden city, travelling back and forth between physical and virtual reality.

Look forward to a mysterious detective story with investigations in virtual space.
