#Umamusume 2nd Season’s Studio KAI Works on FUUTO PI Web Anime

An image board for Fuuto Tantei / FUUTO PI, the forthcoming web anime adaptation of the sequel manga to the 11th Heisei Kamen Rider series Kamen Rider W, is revealed today. Just like the title page picture of the original manga’s first chapter, it depicts the city of Fuuto, the main location of the story, and the protagonist Shotaro Hidari standing overlooking it. And it was colored in purple and green, the theme colors of Kamen Rider W.

It is also confirmed that Studio KAI (Umamusume Pretty Derby Season 2, Super Cub) works on anime production. The message from the studio writes, “We are very honored to be involved in the production of the anime adaptation of the popular manga series ‘Fuuto Tantei,’ which is a work commemorating the 50th anniversary of Kamen Rider. The entire staff will do their best to deliver the charm of this work without compromise and meet the expectations of Kamen Rider fans around the world.”

Kamen Rider W was aired for 49 episodes from September 2009 to August 2010. As its official sequel, the Fuuto Tantei manga, written by the TV series’ main script writer Riku Sanjo and illustrated by Masaki Sato, has been serialized in Shogakukan’s Big Comic Spirits since August 2017. The web animation is scheduled to start streaming in the summer of 2022, and will also be available on Funimation.
