The album also sold over 49,500 vinyl LP copies, the largest sales week for a Hip Hop album on vinyl or for a solo male album on vinyl since Luminate began tracking music sales in 1991. The previous record for a male artist was held by Kid Cudi’s Man On The Moon III: The Chosen, which sold over 41,500 vinyl copies in its inaugural week last December.
Tyler, The Creator continues to collect accolades three years after winning his first Grammy Award in the Best Rap Album category for 2019’s IGOR. Earlier this month, he won a second Grammy in the same category for CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST.
The Odd Future mastermind also reportedly raked in over $30 million taking the album on the road. As part of the multi-city run, he live-streamed the album from Los Angeles for free on March 31 via Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Music’s Twitch channel and the Amazon Music app.
CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST dropped on June 25, 2021 with features from Lil Wayne, 42 Dugg, Lil Uzi Vert, NBA YoungBoy, Pharrell Williams and Domo Genesis, among others. Revisit the album above.
