On Tuesday (December 20), Tyler took to his Twitter with his list of best songs of the year and his choices covered various genres. Pusha T landed on the list for his collaborative effort with JAY-Z titled “Neck & Wrist” off It’s Almost Dry and Steve Lacy’s “Buttons” off Gemini Rights earned a spot.
In addition to those two, Tyler also included other Hip Hop hits, such as his collaboration with Pharrell and 21 Savage titled “Cash In Cash Out” and Kendrick Lamar’s “Worldwide Steppers” and “Savior.”

Tyler’s comes after JAY-Z dropped his list dubbed “JAY-Z’s Year End Picks 2022” last week. The 41-track mix includes some of the year’s biggest rap hits, including Future’s “Wait For U,” Drake and 21 Savage’s “Jimmy Cooks,” Gunna’s “Pushin’ P,” GloRilla and Cardi B’s “Tomorrow 2” and Lil Uzi Vert’s “Just Wanna Rock.”
JAY-Z has also had tracks from Kendrick Lamar’s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, Drake and 21 Savage’s Her Loss, Pusha T’s It’s Almost Dry, Metro Boomin’s Heroes & Villains, Nas’ King’s Disease 3 and Vince Staples’ Ramona Park Broke My Heart in heavy rotation.
Hov is no stranger to the art of curating playlists, either. The rap deity has put together over 20 playlists on TIDAL, ranging from summer anthems and songs for “survival” to his favorite Nas, Prince and Michael Jackson records.
As for Tyler, the West Coast native was nominated for Best Music Video at the 2022 HipHopDX Awards for the visual to “Cash In Cash Out.” Tyler, 21 and Pharrell weren’t able to take home the win though, as they lost to Kendrick Lamar’s music video for “The Heart Part 5.”
