#Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister Reveals Trailer for 2nd Cour Previewing New Opening Theme

A new PV trailer has been revealed for the ongoing Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister TV anime series, previewing the second cour’s new opening theme performed by the three lead cast members. 

The anime’s 14th episode will air in Japan on January 14, 2025 after the series premiered on October 2, 2024. It will run for 24 total episodes. 

The new opening theme song previewed in the trailer is “Pray Pray Pray” by lead voice actresses Sumire Uesaka, Kaede Hondo, and Shion Wakayama as their respective characters. 

Meanwhile, the ending theme for the second cour is “Kamisama no Iutoori!” by Japanese idol group ≠ME.

Yujiro Abe (Konosuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!, Konosuba Season 3) is directing the anime, with Hiroshi Watanabe (Meiji Tokyo Renka: Yumihari no Serenade and Meiji Tokyo Renka: Hanakagami no Fantasia director) as assistant director, Yasuko Aoki (The Demon Prince of the Momochi House) as series screenwriter, Haruko Izuka (Josee, the Tiger and the Fish, Horimiya) as character designer, and Ryo Kawasaki and Tomoyuki Kono as music composers. Drive is handling the animation production for the series.

The anime adaptation is currently streaming on Crunchyroll and bilibili outside of Japan. It is based on the romantic comedy manga series by Marcey Naito, which began as a one-shot that debuted in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine on December 2, 2020. It then became a serialized series on April 21, 2021, and has released 17 tankobon volumes as of January 2025, with an 18th volume set for release on January 17, 2025. Kodansha USA releases the manga in English.

Uryu Kamihate is a high school student striving to enter Kyoto University’s medical school. After being raised at an orphanage, Uryu is taken in by the chief priest at Amagami Shrine, where he begins to live as a freeloader — and to cohabit with Yae, Yuna, and Asahi, the three beautiful shrine maiden sisters!

What’s more, the condition he must meet in order to live at the shrine for free is to marry into the family and inherit the shrine! How will Uryu overcome his marriage meetings with the three sisters as well as the many challenges that Amagami Shrine faces?
