A second trailer for Tsurune – Tsunagari no Issha – has been released, previewing more of the cast’s next Kyudo experiences and the opening song “°C” by Luck Life.

Tsurune – Tsunagari no Issha –, the second season of the Tsurune anime series, is set to premiere in Japan on January 4 (effectively January 5 at 12 AM JST). The first season of Tsurune premiered in 2018 and ran for 13 episodes.

Tsurune is based on the novel series written by Kotoko Ayano with illustrations from Chinatsu Morimoto. The book series, which began in 2016 and has three volumes as of August 2022, is published under Kyoto Animation’s KA Esuma Bunko label.

When Narumiya Minato joins Prefectural Kazemai High School, he is quickly invited to join the archery club by the club’s advisor, Tommy-sensei. His childhood friends Takehaya Seiya and Yamanouchi Ryohei swiftly agree to join, but Minato is hesitant at first. Because Minato is the rare student with experience in archery, Tommy-sensei orders him to give a demonstration, which Minato does… except his arrow doesn’t hit the target. It is revealed that Minato has developed a terrible dysfunction regarding archery.

The returning staff includes Takuya Yamamura as director, Miku Kadowaki as character designer, Michiko Yokote as series composer, Nobuaki Maruki as chief animation director, Shouko Ochiai as art director, Azumi Hata as color designer, and Kouhei Funamoto as photography director. Masaru Yokoyama (Break of Dawn) is the music composer for the new season.

Meanwhile, the returning cast includes Yuuto Uemura as Minato Narumiya and Kenshou Ono as Shu Fujiwara. They are joined in the second season by Jun Fukuyama as Eisuke Nikaidou, Takayuki Kondou as Koshiro Fuwa, Yuuya Hirose as Toma Higuchi, Yuuichirou Umehara as Reiji Arakaji, and Youhei Azakawa as Kenyu Otagu.
