#Tsubame Koyasu VA Haruka Fukuhara Also Plays The Character in Kaguya-sama Final Live-action Film

 

 

The official website for the live-action film adaptation project based on Aka Akasaka’s romantic comedy manga Kaguya-sama: Love Is War announced today that 22-year-old Haruka Fukuhara, who has voiced Tsubame Koyasu in the Kaguya-sama anime series, is also cast as the character in the upcoming second film, Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Final.

 

Tsubame Koyasu is a third-year student at the senior high school division of Shuchiin Academy, who is the vice leader of the cheering squad at the sports festival. She is a popular character who is adored by the younger students at the school and is one of the “difficult girls” who are too beautiful to date.

 

Fukuhara says, “I’ve been playing the role of Tsubame as her voice cast in the anime series, and I was excited to see who would be playing the live-action version Koyasu Tsubame. So I was really surprised to hear that I was chosen for the role, like 7Is it really me?7 I’m so honored to be able to appear not only in an anime but also in a live-action film, and I feel the joy of playing my favorite character, Tsubame, with my whole body. I’ll do my best to deliver the charming Tsubame-chan to everyone!”

 

The live-action film project’s second and final installment, Kaguya-sama: Love Is War is set to be released in Japan on August 20, 2021. It has been also announced that the story in the film will be based on the popular “Sports Festival & Cultural Festival” episodes from the original manga.

 

 


 


 

 

The first film was released in Japan on September 6, 2019, and topped the weekend box office ranking with an impressive 315 million yen, beating Makoto Shinkai’s Weathering With You. It earned 2.24 billion yen from its domestic run to become the 24th top-grossing film of 2019.

 

Production of the second film was announced during the first film’s first terrestrial broadcasting in Japan on January 5, 2021. The first’s Hayato Kawai returns to the director’s chair and all of the main cast members, including Kanna Hashimoto (Kaguya Shinomiya) and Sho Hirano (Miyuki Shirogane), are confirmed to reprise their roles.
