President Trump on Sunday took a shot at Michael Bloomberg for pledging to spend $100 million in support of Joe Biden in Florida, telling the former Big Apple mayor to use his billion-dollar fortune to “save NYC instead.”

“I thought Mini Mike was through with Democrat politics after spending almost 2 Billion Dollars, and then giving the worst and most inept Debate Performance in the history of Presidential Politics. Pocahontas ended his political career on first question, OVER!,” the president said on Twitter, using his nickname for former Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren.

“Save NYC instead,” he added.

The billionaire media mogul, who ended his own presidential run last March after spending $1 billion on his four-month campaign, will pour the funds into the Sunshine State to give the former vice president a financial edge in the swing state that is now a toss-up between Trump and Biden.

Moments later, Trump questioned how Bloomberg made his billions.

“In the highly competitive world of high tech, how come nobody has ever challenged Mini Mike Bloomberg and his very average, & supposedly outdated, ‘stuff’ that he sells to so many? Did he use his position as Mayor of New York to create what is now a monopoly? Just askin’?,” he said, without offering any evidence.

The former mayor, whose fortune is estimated at more than $65 billion, started Bloomberg LP in 1981, two decades before he ran for mayor in 2001.

The company launched the Bloomberg Terminal that helped traders sort through reams of financial data and it was valued at $2 billion eight years later.

Since then Bloomberg LP expanded into Bloomberg News and Bloomberg TV.

In Bloomberg’s first Democratic primary debate in February, Warren zeroed in on the accusations that he used derogatory language against women and made them sign non-disclosure agreements at his company.

“I’d like to talk about who we’re running against,” she said about Bloomberg at his first Democratic debate in Las Vegas. “A billionaire who calls women ‘fat broads’ and ‘horse-faced lesbians.’ And no, I’m not talking about Donald Trump. I’m talking about Mayor Bloomberg.”

Trump has been feuding with Mayor Bill de Blasio and Gov. Andrew Cuomo about their handling of the coronavirus pandemic and the racial justice protests that have continued across the country in the wake of George Floyd’s death.

The president has even threatened to cut federal funds for New York unless they take stronger action to tamp down the unrest and resist calls by protesters to defund the police.
