The fallout from the Astroworld Festival continues to mount with lawsuits piling up and a 10th victim confirmed dead, but the tragedy hasn’t negatively impacted Travis Scott’s streams. According to HitsDoubleDaily, La Flame enjoyed a sales bump this week when it came to his Astroworld album.

The 2018 album reportedly jumped 12 spots from No. 50 to No. 38 on the latest Billboard 200 after selling nearly 15,000 total album-equivalent units in the latest sales window. 617 of that figure were pure album sales, indicating the album was streamed at least 17 million times — and that estimate is on the lower side.

It will be interesting to see where the Houston native’s two-pack of tracks including “ESCAPE PLAN” and the J. Cole-assisted “MAFIA” clock in on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. According to Billboard, “ESCAPE PLAN” had its planned radio push silenced following the backlash from the Astroworld Festival tragedy.

Just over a week after the deadly festival, over 100 lawsuits have been filed against Travis Scott and Live Nation, with legal experts predicting the damages could run into the billions.

9-year-old Ezra Blount passed away from his injuries suffered at Astroworld Festival on Sunday (November 14), becoming the 10th confirmed death. He was placed in a medically-induced coma after being severely trampled during the crowd surge while attending the festival with his father.

Don’t look for Travis Scott to return to the stage anytime soon. He canceled a scheduled one-off show in Saudi Arabia slated for November 19 where he was reportedly slated to rake in $5.5 million. Scott was also replaced by Post Malone after bailing on Day N Vegas due to being “too distraught to play.”
