#Too Many Losing Heroines! Releases Ending Animation

Aniplex has released the ending animation of the newly premiered Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! anime on YouTube.

The ending, which is animated by Bonta Junchukan (“Good Bye” music video director and animator) and Aoi Otani (Makeini: Too Many Losiyong Heroines! co-visual board artist), combines stylized depictions of the characters Kazuhiko Nukumizu and Anna Yanami with plenty of live-action footage, as well as an aesthetic that gives the sequence a retro feel. Keigo Arihara (Makeini: Too Many Losing Heroines! co-visual board artist) is credited as location hunting assistant.

The ending theme is a cover version of hitomi‘s 2000 song “LOVE 2000.” Anna’s voice actor Hikaru Tono performed the song for the anime as her character.

Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! premiered in Japan on July 13 JST (effectively July 14 at 12:30 AM JST). It is based on the Gagaga Bunko light novel series written by Takibi Amamori and illustrated by Imigimuru, which began in July 2021 and has six volumes as of December 2023. Seven Seas Entertainment describes the plot as:

Plain, boring, and friendless Nukumizu Kazuhiko has witnessed something completely baffling: popular girl Yanami Anna was friend-zoned by her childhood friend and crush! In fact, all the popular girls around him are getting similarly rejected by the boys they like. Without realizing it, Kazuhiko becomes entangled in the relationship drama where all the leading heroines are losing out on love! Can he keep their spirits up and help them find happiness?

The light novel series was the Gagaga Award winner at the 15th Shougakukan Light Novel Taisho. It has also inspired a manga adaptation by Itachi.
