#Tomodachi no Imouto ga Ore ni Dake Uzai Manga Gets Anime Adaptation

An anime adaptation for the Tomodachi no Imouto ga Ore ni Dake Uzai (My Friend’s Little Sister Has It In for Me! in J Novel Club’s translation), or Imouza, light novel series has been announced.

Details like staff, cast, and release date weren’t revealed, although the anime’s announcement was accompanied by the cast reveal for the drama CD adaptation. Haruki Ishiya is voicing protagonist Akiteru Ooboshi in the drama CD, while Sayumi Suzushiro is voicing heroine Iroha Kohinata.

The Imouza light novels are written by Ghost Mikawa and illustrated by Tomari. The light novel series began in April 2019 and saw the release of its sixth volume in December 2020. A manga adaptation by Hira Hiraoka began in December 2019, and released its second volume in November 2020.

The story follows a high school student called Akiteru Ooboshi, who only has one true friend and has “cut and thrown out” what he deems to be inefficient in his youth. Akiteru’s friend has a younger sister, Iroha Kohinata, whose attention towards Akiteru results in envious gazes being directed at him, due to her image as a popular honor student who is kind and attentive. However, Iroha’s true nature is that of a girl who “seems to have energy drinks instead of blood coursing through her” and who gets on Akiteru’s nerves.
