#Tom Holland Hopes to See Miles Morales, Silk & Jackpot Movies Once He’s Done With Spider-Man

“#Tom Holland Hopes to See Miles Morales, Silk & Jackpot Movies Once He’s Done With Spider-Man”
“I’d like to see Miles, I’d like to see Silk. I think you could do a really cool Jackpot movie.”
Miles Morales of course made his big-screen debut in the 2018 Oscar winner Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, whilst Silk, whose real name is Cindy Moon, is expected to appear in the upcoming animated sequel as well as receive her own spinoff. Both Miles Morales and Cindy Moon have either appeared or been alluded to in the Marvel Cinematic Universe already, making Tom Holland’s suggestion entirely possible. Jackpot, however, is a somewhat lesser-known Marvel character with links to Spider-Man, whose complex origin story involves two different people taking up the superhero name. The first iteration, Sara Ehret, is a scientist, who, while pregnant, undergoes gene therapy research and is exposed to ‘Lot 777,’ a virus that rewrites the DNA in her cells. The second person to take up the Jackpot mantle is Alana Jobson, who must take a cocktail of drugs, including a mutant growth hormone, which results in some invulnerability and super strength.
Holland’s Spider-Man: No Way Home co-star, Zendaya, went on to suggest that Holland’s Peter Parker could even mentor the likes of Miles Morales and Cindy Moon similar to how Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark took Peter under his wing. “Yeah, it would be awesome. It would be amazing,” Holland replied to Zendaya’s idea.
This is not the first time Holland has put forward Miles Morales to take over from his version of Peter Parker, with the actor saying: “Maybe it is time for me to move on. Maybe what’s best for Spider-Man is that they do a Miles Morales film. I have to take Peter Parker into account as well, because he is an important part of my life…[but] If I’m playing Spider-Man after I’m 30, I’ve done something wrong.”
Until then, Tom Holland must still contend with the multiversal madness that is Spider-Man: No Way Home. The sequel will pick up with our friendly neighborhood wall-crawler following Peter Parker’s identity as Spider-Man being exposed by Mysterio at the end of 2019’s Spider-Man: Far From Home. After defeating his explosive schemes, the fish-bowl helmet sporting supervillain unleashes his final trick, revealing to the world that Peter Parker is Spider-Man. With his life and reputation having now been turned upside down, Parker decides to ask his friend and colleague Doctor Strange to help restore his secret identity with magic.
Directed by Jon Watts and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, and starring Tom Holland, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau, Marisa Tomei, J. B. Smoove, Benedict Wong, Alfred Molina, Jamie Foxx, and Willem Dafoe, Spider-Man: No Way Home is scheduled to be released in the United States on December 17, 2021, as part of Phase Four of the MCU.
