#Tom Brady sends Chase Young autographed jersey after playoff game

A 31-23 loss to the Buccaneers in the NFL wild-card round wasn’t Chase Young’s desired outcome, but the Washington rookie did have one wish fulfilled.

Young posted a Boomerang to his Instagram story on Saturday of an autographed jersey he requested from opposing quarterback and future Hall of Famer Tom Brady, who delivered on the request with a personalized message.

“Chase, best of luck!” Brady wrote alongside his signature..

Brady reposted Young’s story to his own account with the emojis, “👊🏈‼️,” to which Young replied with praying hands.

Young was selected No. 2 overall from Ohio State in the 2020 NFL Draft. He began turning heads almost immediately and was integral to the team’s defensive success this year. The Football Team allowed the second-fewest yards per game and fourth-fewest points per game in the NFL.

The 6-foot-5, 264-pound lineman recorded 42 tackles, 7.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and one touchdown through 15 regular season games and earned a Pro Bowl nomination. He recorded one solo tackle and two assisted tackles in the wild-card round against the Buccaneers.

Brady also added a playful inscription to the gift that read, “Go Blue” with a smiley face. The 43-year-old attended the University of Michigan — the Buckeyes’ chief rival.

Brady and the Buccaneers will continue their playoff campaign against Drew Brees and the Saints in New Orleans on Sunday evening.
