Aoki will serve as Studio Flare’s president and CEO, while Mori will serve as its development producer and executive vice president.

The studio’s first game has yet to be announced, but it is currently hiring 2D artists, 2D background artists, 3D artists, and server and infrastructure engineers. Visit the official website for more information.

Toshinori Aoki and Toshimichi Mori are pleased to announce the establishment of new game development company named Studio Flare, Inc. in Tokyo. With knowledge and expertise from their past projects, Studio Flare will deliver new game experiences to global audiences. The company also has received support from NetEase Games, the gaming division of NetEase, Inc.

In his past career, Toshinori Aoki has served in executive management roles at several video game companies, including Marvelous Inc. where he previously served on their board of directors.

Toshimichi Mori was a producer of BlazBlue, a beloved player-versus-player fighting game supported by a strong community. His most recent role was at Arc System Works, where he also served on the company’s board of directors.

Studio Flare has an intention to create games with an edgy feel that bring excitement to hardcore gamers. We will start developing original games for console platforms, with a small but highly talented team based in our studio in Gotanda, Tokyo.
