The three-part Toku Touken Ranbu -Hanamaru- Setsugetsuka anime has released a trailer for its second part, Tsuki no Kan. Tsuki no Kan is set to begin its limited theatrical run in Japan on July 8.

A poster visual for the anime, as well as a visual of 14 new characters who will appear in it, were also released.

The Toku Touken Ranbu -Hanamaru- Setsugetsuka trilogy released its first part in May and will release its third part on September 1. It is based on the Touken Ranbu – Hanamaru anime series that first aired in 2016. A second season followed in 2018. The anime are inspired by the Touken Ranbu sword-raising simulation game that was first released in 2015.

In the year 2205, the past becomes threatened by the historical revisionists who seek to change it. Protecting history becomes the task of a boisterous band of swords that are brought to life, including the glamorous Kashu Kiyomitsu and the kindly Yamatonokami Yasusada. Beyond their battles, these legendary swords from different eras lead charming daily lives.

Like the series, the staff of Toku Touken Ranbu -Hanamaru- Getsu no Kan includes Tomoaki Kishida as director, Junichirou Taiguchi as character designer, Mitsue Mori and Eriko Iida as sub character designers, Hiyori Denforword Akishino and Eri Nakajima as sword designers, Olive’s Yukari Yasuda as art director, Go Kenkou as photography director, and Kenji Kawai as music composer. 

Meanwhile, the cast includes Mitsuhiro Ichiki, Toshiki Masuda, Kousuke Toriumi, Kengo Kawanishi, Yuuya Hirose, Taku Yashiro, Kento Itou, Shun’ichi Toki, Kazuhiko Inoue, and more.
