#Todd Bowles interviewing for Eagles’ head coaching vacancy

Former Jets head coach Todd Bowles is interviewing for the Eagles’ vacant head coaching job on Monday, according to reports.

Bowles, who is currently the Buccaneers’ defensive coordinator, will be the seventh candidate to interview for the job left vacant after Doug Pederson was fired last week. The Eagles have one of two available head coaching jobs, along with the Texans, with the Chargers hiring Brandon Staley and the Lions expected to agree to terms with Dan Campbell.

Bowles’ first head-coaching job was with the Jets from 2015-18, when he went 24-40 without a postseason appearance. He appeared to boost his stock during the Bucs’ 30-20 victory on Sunday, a game in which his defense limited the Saints to less than 300 total yards.

The Eagles have also interviewed Panthers offensive coordinator Joe Brady, Eagles running backs coach Duce Staley, Patriots assistant coach Jerod Mayo and Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, as well as Robert Saleh and Arthur Smith, who agreed to jobs with the Jets and Falcons, respectively.
