“Daredevil’s Role in She-Hulk is Teased by Director Kat Coiro”
Matt Murdock will be returning to the MCU for the first time since his debut in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
The show centers on Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk (Tatiana Maslany) as she defends fellow super-humans in court. Of course, this gives her a direct connection to Matt Murdock, another attorney who will now deal with the reality of living in the superhero-filled Marvel Cinematic Universe. The latest trailer for the show revealed Daredevil’s presence and a brand-new suit to go with it. During an interview with EW, She-Hulk executive producer and director Kat Coiro shared her excitement for Murdock’s return.
“Can I tell you how excited I was when the audience was able to see that and I realized that I did not have to keep that secret anymore? Yes, Daredevil is in the show. I mean, how can you have a legal comedy and not have Daredevil come into it? They match each other’s wits, is what I can say. I am definitely excited for Daredevil to make his appearance, because I think he’s going to be a crowd favorite. But I can’t tell you anything else about that. The Marvel police is a real thing and I don’t want to get arrested by them.”
Fans are sharing the excitement with Coiro for Daredevil’s return, and we will see even more of the treasured character when he receives his show, Daredevil: Born Again.
She-Hulk is Switching Its Release Schedule
Although the series releases in less than a month, Marvel Studios are changing the release schedule for She-Hulk attorney at law. The show was initially scheduled for an August 17th premiere, however, that date is being pushed back by one day to the 18th. The news comes via a promotional YouTube video announcing the date. That moves the release to a Thursday, coinciding with the weekly Thursday releases that will follow.
She-Hulk will differ from previous Disney+ MCU shows, opting to stray away from the weekly Wednesday releases, preferring a Thursday window. This could partly be because of Ms. Marvel having low viewership and the studio wanting to try something new. We will see how She-Hulk: Attorney at Law fairs on the ratings side of things when the series premieres in three weeks, Aug. 18th.
