The official website for the spring 2021 TV anime Backflip!! has posted professional dancer Naoya Nagai‘s original performance video for the OP theme song “Seishun no Enbu.” His next performance video for the ED song “Anata ga Iru” is scheduled to be posted on May 31.
Nagai started rhythmic gymnastics at the age of 12, then became the All Japan Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships individual all-around champion in 2017. After graduating from university, he moved to Tokyo and began his career as a professional dancer. He says, “I joined to deliver as much excitement as possible to the people who watch the anime Backflip!!, the current athletes, coaches, and fans who continue to support men’s rhythmic gymnastics, through this project,” and adds, “I hope you will try dancing it too!”

The men’s rhythmic gymnastics-themed TV Anime Backflip!! premiered on Fuji TV’s midnight-programming block Noitamina on April 9, 2021, and has also been simulcast on Crunchyroll to its members in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.
