Following up on a handful of OVA episodes, the next step for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure spinoff Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan is a three-part live-action adaptation that's set to air on NHK later this month. While Issei Takahashi (Seiji Amasawa in Ghibli's Whisper of the Heart, Takashi Hayashida in the live-action March comes in like a lion) is playing the title role in this version, the new trailer is narrated by Takahiro Sakurai (Griffith in Berserk, Reigen in Mob Psycho 100), who provides the anime voice for Rohan.

Directed by Kazutaka Watanabe (live-action Only Yesterday), the three episodes of the live-action Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan will be spread out over the course of December 28, 29, and 30 on NHK General in Japan. Episode one follows the "Fugo Mura" story from the manga, about an incident in a millionaire's mansion, while the second is based on the spinoff novel's "Kushagara" short and the third has Rohan investigating his editor's memory loss in manga-based story "D.N.A."
