#Thunderbolt Fantasy Season 3 Announced for April 2021

The official Twitter for Thunderbolt Fantasy announced that the series’ third season will broadcast in Japan in April 2021. A new key visual featuring recurring characters from season one and two was released on the official Twitter as well. Thunderbolt Fantasy’s third season was put on hold earlier in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Crunchyroll is currently streaming the first two seasons Thunderbolt Fantasy and Thunderbolt Fantasy Sword Seekers 2. The platform also hosts the franchise’s two movie spin-offs: Thunderbolt Fantasy – The Sword of Life and Death and Thunderbolt Fantasy – Bewitching Melody of the West.

Anime News Network describes the series’ first season as: 

Dān Fěi and her brother, Dān Héng, possess Tiān Xíng Jiàn sword. They are confronted by Cán Xiōng, who wants the sword for his master, Miè Tiān Hái. Cán Xiōng retrieves the sword, except for its crossguard. Thanks to Dān Fěi, a wandering swordsman- Shāng Bù Huàn- and the mysterious Lǐn Xuě Yā, the complete sword is out of the grasp of evil hands.
